POSH Champion Launched

10 days passed.... "POSH Champion" launched and "POSH Commander" Keel layed.



Flooding the drydocks at 9am sharp and photo taking session is conducted for yard, owner and class. Everyone is very happy and work are recognized in all.

Everyone are smiling all the way, but in my mind, can PYOE do it similarly? It will be stress if depend on me to implement whatever neccessary in the yard, perhaps to gamble one time off.





Vessel is out of the drydocks as per schedule neither early or late.

Japan yard is much different from yard in Singapore and China.... Yard is organized and proud with whatever they have doneand have ownership of everything. I think it take times to make the yard to be so productive and work effectively. Everyone is "automatic".

Hopefully when I am back, everyone will really make the effort for some changes, especially the locals.

Feeling great initial for posting to JaPan....never been here before.... will be posted for at least 2 months. Starting from 31st July, I will be leaving my little gal at home for few months...feel sad... hope that she can join me during the holidays....


Arriving in Tokyo (Narita Airport) at 3:50, collecting my luggauge and taking a 1.5hrs of train to Tsurumi, a small town. Just check in to a hotel, when open up the room it is really small, less than 20 square metres and cost 7000 yen per night.

A walk-in directly a room with bed and front table, without wardrobe, safe, tables and worst still like "prison"

Washroom like modular toilet onboard a vessel. There is no way to turn to, this should be the leaving standards of japanese, compact and save space.

This is just a starting of the first night. Still considering to move to a bigger room with 2000 yen difference.

After checking in, colleague of mine brought me to have dinner, most of the restaurant are having beef, terrible.... another nightmare.... one meal is a minimum of 1000 yen equvalent to RMB 78 equavalent to 16 bucks sing. really like chinese saying 吃不饱，饿不死！

3rd nightmare, all speaking japanese, konichiwa here konichiwa there, when ask in english, they knew nuts....die die die....how to survive without any knowing of japanese and communicating with them....

Have to try to overcome all these....stay tuned....
